Nut Tart Squares

BROWN SUGAR CRUST
1 cup all purpose flour
3 Tablespoons packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, cut into small pieces, room temperature
2 teaspoons vanilla
Blend all ingredients until dough begins to cling together in a ball.
2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup whipping cream
1/4 teaspoon orange extract
1/2 cup pecan halves
1/2 cup coarsly chopped walnuts
1/3 cup blanched sliced almonds
Preheat oven to 350. Press crust mixture evenly into bottom of an
ungreased 8 or 9-inch square baking pan. Bake 13-15 minutes or until
edges are golden brown.
In a medium bowl, combine sugar, cream, orange extract and nuts. Pour
mixture evenly over baked crust. Bake 40-45 minutes longer or until
golden brown. Cool in pan. Cut into squares. Store in refrigator.
